I went to Bell World, Rideau Centre. Talked to the sales-guy and asked around. Looked at the brochure.
Finally I found a plan that seemed to suit me. Ample text messages and sufficient minutes – long distance and short distance both – per month. The phone that came with the package was also nifty. Had camera, bluetooth, spiffy colours and everything. I was happy with the whole idea. So I asked for the price citation.
The plan…$35 per month.
OK.
The phone…$49.90 sans tax.
OK.
“Thanks for your business sir.”
“You’re welcome, thanks for your help Derek (the salesman).”
“Sir, apparently there are certain laws that apply to any credit purchase of yours since you’re a foreign national.”
“Owh, okay. What type of laws?”
“The one that requires a $500 deposit down-payment.”

Why Bell?
Azraf n farah sign up for Rogers and they only pay $25 per month, and they got free phones. Cool one. Motorola RAZR tu. I believe u’ve seen azraf’s.
I’m actually considering signing up next august, since the contract is for 3 years.
Nways, you probably want to sign up dgn company yg most of your friends (or awek. LOL) pakai, mcm rogers or fido, since klu ko call orang dari len company ko kena charge mahal.
Fido and rogers dorang mcm ade plan yang best, one of the plan is say if u use rogers, u can call or receive call from fido and rogers users for free.
Camtu la lebih kurang.

bell is a shitty cell provider.
trust me…
all my friends who used bell before have already switched to fido or rogers.
so i advise you to use either rogers or bell.
or maybe wait by the end of this year.
get a plan with rogers and get an iphone.
it supposed to come to Canada by this year.
arghh i want an iphone…

Yeah it is refundable, but I’m not really keen on removing CAD 500 from my account anytime soon. To begin with, I don’t even have that amount, and just in case of an emergency, I would like to have a healthy sum sitting in my RBC account lol @.@
Haha, iphone mahal lah. I know its damn cool + sweet + awesome + amazing + cun and all that, but I just can’t cut it with my current state of finances lol. As it is, I am just making ends meet when I am WITHOUT a phone, and I have no idea how much this new venture may set me back huhu.
And if that doesn’t convince you, well, bear in mind that it’s been a long time since I went to bed feeling properly full…=)
I’d rather use any extra cash on that LOL.
