I know I said that the last blogpost would very likely be the last one on this particular domain, but it felt fitting to post the latest news here. I received the following e-mail from Petronas HR today, following my interview with them last 28th July:
Dear Irving,

Thank you for participating in the above interview.
Please be informed that you have been placed in our list of potential candidates. Your job offer will be based on the availability of a suitable position which commensurate with your qualification and/or experience.

I guess that’s it then. A journey of five years – across two different educational institutions and several continents – has finally come to an end. This was the real end goal: a job offer; the Bachelor’s degree, all those awards, numerous field trips and excursions – they were only the means to a greater end. This really is the end of the line as far as my scholarship goes; moreover, beyond obtaining this job recommendation from HR, there’s nothing more that I can do except pray and wait. The rest is in the hands of The Almighty.
It’s really over now, isn’t it?
