Postcards From Far Away…

The source of inspiration for this page is that of an unlikely Canadian – Miss Courtney Starkman, who made an off-hand remark to me whilst the two of us happened to be vacationing together at Greenwich on Prince Edward Island, Canada. I was telling her and one Miss Farah Hanani about how I wished to take at least one top-drawer – in other words, postcard quality – photo at each of the places that I had been fortunate enough to go to.

To this Courtney said, “You should make your own postcards.”

And that got me thinking. Why not, I figured – I had the equipment, desire, and the ample love for photography to at least give it a shot. Maybe one day I’ll even get to the point where my images are good enough to be used professionally.

But until then, I’ll practice; and watermark the full-sized prints of the images that I have taken for my own memory’s sake. Consider it a “best-of” page for pictures of my travels – for nothing less than a picture which captures all of the emotions, memories, character, and overall feel of the place I have visited will ever make it here. I might even remove some postcards as this page gets better to ensure quality control.
